A temporary residence permit in Kazakhstan allows citizens of the EAEU, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan to stay in the country longer than the visa-free period. It is required for work, study, business, or family reunification.

The stages of registration of the TRP

Consideration
Review — the review period is 1-2 business days
Permission
Obtaining a permit — if the decision is positive, a document confirming the TRP is issued.
For family members of citizens of Kazakhstan
UP TO 1 YEAR
for the entire period of study
For students
no more than 12 months
For migrant workers — in accordance with the employment contract
Validity period of the TRP
A TRP can also be issued for close relatives of a foreign employee (spouse, children) for a period corresponding to the term of the main applicant's TRP.
A marriage certificate will be required for the spouse, and a birth certificate for the children. The documents must be notarized, legalized or apostille (depending on the country of issue).

Note: Children under the age of 16 do not need a temporary residence permit.
As a result of the provision of public services, an electronic certificate with a QR code and a signature / seal of the Migration Service employee is issued.
